Dear Loyal Jayhawk,

I want to congratulate Coach Bill Self and our men's basketball team on an impressive eighth straight Big 12 Conference championship.

In my short time on campus I have had the privilege to see this team perform and their will-to-win is impressive. I wish them luck as they head into postseason play.

As we begin our first spring in Lawrence, my staff and I have already started laying the foundations and principles that are necessary to build a winning program. Our players are well into off-season training, and I am pleased they are buying in to our philosophy and being accountable for the work they do.

We will be hitting the field soon as spring practice begins March 27. The Spring Game will be Saturday, April 28 at 1 p.m. I look forward to seeing you there!

Dr. Zenger recently informed me our season ticket sales are going well and fans are excited about next fall. I am not surprised. Since my time in Lawrence I have witnessed the passion and pride that Jayhawk fans have for their school, their teams and their state. I cannot wait to represent Kansas next season.
